Mmmm...Fair food
Our annual trip to the Texas State Fair was really, really fun. The auto show was superb - we got to see a prototype from Jeep, a Jeep Wyllis 2. Way cool. If they actually bring the concept to reality, my hubby and I would get one if the price was right.
And you can't talk about the fair without talking about the food. Since there were four of us (me, hubby, and mom- and dad-in-law), we could each buy something and share it. I tasted a corny dog, tamale with chili, funnel cake, cinnamon roll dredged in cream cheese icing and pecans, bakalva, cotton candy and a key-lime-pie-on-a-stick which is a frozen treat - crust and all - dipped in chocolate. It's good to sample, because if you ate all that food by yourself...well, your waistline, wallet and arteries could never forgive you!
