I'm doing a small happy dance today because the Friends series finale is tonight. First, I'll be glad that I don't have to listen to the hype anymore. "The FINAL 'Friends'...watch it or no one will like you." Second, I haven't been pleased with the show since it jumped the shark when Ross and Rachel got together. (Jumped the shark is a term some guy made up referring to when shows start to go downhill. It comes from a Happy Days episode when Fonzie actually jumped a shark.)
But I do have some fond memories of the show. In college I'd occasionally watch it with my roommates, just because I wanted to spend some time with them. That was cool. And they put up with my 6:30pm Simpsons addiction, so it's all even.
My rebellious side refuses to watch the finale because of all the hype and peer pressure. But secretly I do want to watch it to see if that monkey comes back.
