your thoughts
Yay, it's nice to be in the world of comments. Thanks for taking the time to wish me happy birthday.
Ok, now that I have comments I can have fun asking questions. So here's the first one.
I've heard many people complain about the brief resurrection scene at the end of The Passion of the Christ. But usually the complaint consists only of, "I can't believe the ending was so short," "Ok, Mel, only give 2 minutes to the Resurrection - whatever!"...Basically, the complaints stop there. (No offense to anyone who's complained about it, these are just my observations.) But I've never really heard specific reasons for why someone was offended. It's intriguing to me that so many were put off by this, so I really want to know the reasons for those feelings. I have my own thoughts about this subject, but I'll keep quiet because I want to know what you think.
So I ask of you, were you offended/upset by the ending of this film? If so, why? What do you feel was left out? How would you have directed the resurrection scene? And how much further do you think the film could have gone before it ended? And if you weren't offended, please share your reasons for why you weren't.
I'm eager to hear your thoughts. This has been on my mind for a while.
