Taste 'o Dallas

Yesterday we went to the West End for Taste of Dallas. My uncle was playing guitar for Fingerprints, a sweet jazz band that was the opening act for the headliner. They were quite good.

Then we pressed our way through the hordes of smelly people who'd been in the sun all day, and enjoyed some great snacks from various vendors. The portions are small - hence the title Taste of Dallas - so we got to try an empanada, a Philly Cheesesteak, tamales, snow cones, chocolate bread pudding, and a cool sandwich made with a rosemary belgain waffle, turkey, lettuce, cheese and tomato. Quite fun.
