what's up with the baby? and that donkey?
Many of my acquaintances have been discussing the movie TPOTC, and there are two scenes that keep popping up in those conversations. One, what was up with the scary, hairy baby that Satan was holding, and two, why was there a donkey filled with maggots that was next to Judas before he hanged himself?
Some folks have asserted that the baby represents the Antichrist, or the Madonna and Child imagery, etc. And the donkey has just thrown everyone off. Here are two interviews - one with Gibson and one with his publicist - that can shed some simple light on these scenes.
