ogres have layers

I'm not sure if what I'm working on today is an onion or a parfait. I've gotta finish a cover illustration, and due to the huge amounts of sugar that I had last night and my complete lack of sleep - I'm zonked. I can't hold a straight thought, much less keep track of all the layers. So many factors to keep track of.

Last night we went to a Christmas party where I had 2 small slices of cake and 3 cookies. When we got home I was pretty hyper, so my hubby and I rearranged our bedroom furniture. (Many thanks to him for putting up with the whole experience.) We rearranged our living room over a month ago, and were supposed to fix the bedroom the next weekend. Well, our schedules kept interfering and I was getting pretty tired of waiting, so what better time to start a big project? At 10:30pm we disassembled the bed, pulled out the stuff we had stored underneath it (mmm...dust bunnies), vacuumed, moved a cedar chest, moved the bed, reassembled it, made the bed, put junk back under the bed, and moved the cedar chest. Only took 1 hour & 15 minutes. Not bad.

But lack of sleep has left me feeling a bit like an ogre today. But if I can finish this cover today then I'll feel much better.
