baby hat

Some dear friends of ours are due to have their first baby in February. Seeing as I didn't have the moolah to make a blanket, I thought a hat would be nice. I chose the Umbilical Cord Hat pattern from one of my fav knitting books.

I used some alpaca yarn that a friend gave to me in October. Alpaca is my favorite yarn because it's very warm, super-soft, and doesn't make you itch. When I can afford it, I want to make an alpaca sweater for myself.

Our friends loved this hat and that made me really happy. I'll definitely make more in the future.
